We all know the feeling; settling in your Uber only to descend into a deafening and awkward silence hanging between you and your driver. Sometimes it’s a welcome repose, and sometimes it’s just weird. “Would you mind turning on the radio?” you ask. But you quickly regret your decision when the car fills with your most recent breakup song.
So what to do? What’s the cure-all for strange, awkward, and generally want-to-avoid Uber situations?
The ultimate playlist, of course. And one that fits any environment, time and place.
We started with Jungle’s feel-good, “Beat 54” as our seed track. A mellow, happy and easy-on-the-ears disco and funk-inspired track, “Beat 54” can act as an uplifting morning tune, a midday pick-me-up, or a nighttime seat-dancing jam. Using it to curate our Musiio Search results, we generated a playlist that gambols across genres (downtempo, soul, house and disco) yet maintains the upbeat and breezy vibe of a track suited for any Uber ride.
